Community Photo Contest

Our community is special in so many ways. Capture that spark in our 41st district's inaugural community photo contest!

We welcome submissions from all 41st district residents, and all community members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites. Winning submissions will be displayed in Springfield and made into canvas prints for the winner.

Submit your original works by October 31. Community voting will take place in November, with winners announced at the Winter Open House on December 16. Be sure to check back for updates!

Submission Requirements:

  • Photo must be taken within the 41st District

  • Photographer must reside in the 41st District

  • Please limit submissions to one photo per person

  • Photo must be high quality, at least 300 dpi (photos taken with smart phones will generally work)

  • If the photo includes any individual who is personally identifiable, please affirm consent from those individuals

How to submit:

  • Email photo to

  • Subject line: 41st District Photo Contest Submission

  • Include in email: Name, mailing address, phone number, where the photo was taken, and a brief title for the photo. Accompanying statements explaining why the subject matter was meaningful to you and your community are welcome, too.
